I can’t get enough of the flowers. I wish they could last for a very long time. These are a few summer memories. It reminds me I need to take more pictures before summer is over.
I like creating pendants that use various type of gemstones in different colors, but sometimes I just want to create something that is made of only silver. This was the case for this pendant. I just wanted something in silver that could be worn with almost anything. That’s why I like this necklace! It just has a classic and simple feel, with just a little touch of intricacy. I made it using a combination of sterling silver and fine silver. It’s simple, elegant with some texture. Hope you like it too.
I like working with silver and also love wearing silver jewelry as well. What’s your favorite metal for jewelry?
Today, I am featuring a beautiful collection of lampwork designs. All of these designs are all focused around lampwork creations and they are just beautiful. You can take a look at this beautiful collection here
A quick tutorial to show you how to make your own ear wires.
Using your flush cutters, cut the tip of the ear wire at a 45 degree angle, so that the tip is really pointy and sharp. Use you metal file to smooth the tip and the rough edges of the cut. After filing, the tip should not be sharp anymore, but slender enough to easily glide into the ear.
Using the widest part of your round nose pliers, grab the tip of the ear wire and slightly curve it outward. Lightly hammer the big hoop of the ear wire to harden. Repeat the steps above to create a second ear wire, and you’re ready to use them.Tip: You can use half hard wire or soft wire to make your ear wire. If using half hard wire, you will not need to harden the wire, but if you use soft wire, you will need to harden your ear wire by lightly hammering or by using a tumbler, or a combination of both.
